Cool as Ice: Zenith Launches a Trio of DEFY Skyline Boutique Edition with Ice Blue Dials
Zenith has introduced three exclusive boutique editions of the DEFY Skyline timepiece. Featuring striking ice blue dials, these new additions in 41mm and 36mm sizes are designed to beat the summer heat. Alongside these captivating timepieces, Zenith has also unveiled a comprehensive strap service on its online boutique, allowing customers to personalize their watches with ease.
The latest Boutique Edition of the DEFY Skyline showcases a cool and invigorating ice blue tone, reminiscent of clear blue skies and serene waters. In a first for Zenith’s Boutique Edition, the ice blue color is available in both the original DEFY Skyline with a 41mm steel case and its mid-size 36mm counterpart, offered in two versions: one with diamonds on the bezel and one without.
As part of the launch, Zenith is introducing a convenient strap service on its online boutique. This service allows customers to browse and purchase a selection of compatible straps, catering to their preferences in terms of color, size, and buckle type. Initially available in Europe, the service will be expanded to North America and Japan in September, providing watch enthusiasts around the world with enhanced personalization options.

The DEFY Skyline collection seamlessly blends the heritage and modernity of Zenith’s DEFY series, featuring angular steel cases with dodecagonal bezels inspired by the brand’s earliest DEFY wristwatches from 1969. While previous Zenith Boutique Editions have showcased deep blue tones inspired by the night sky, the DEFY Skyline introduces a refreshing twist with its metallic ice blue dial. The dial features an engraved pattern of four-pointed stars, shimmering against the sunray-patterned metallic base. Even the date wheels harmonize with the dial’s color, further enhancing the visual appeal.
Both the DEFY Skyline Ice Blue Boutique Editions are equipped with Zenith’s automatic manufacture movements. The 41mm version houses the El Primero 3620 automatic high-frequency caliber, boasting a 1/10th of a second indicator driven directly from the 5Hz escapement. It offers a power reserve of approximately 60 hours and features a stop-second mechanism for precise time-setting. The smaller 36mm DEFY Skyline Ice Blue Boutique Edition runs on the Elite 670 automatic manufacture movement, providing a power reserve of around 50 hours. Both movements showcase star-shaped oscillating weights and can be admired through the sapphire display backs.

The DEFY Skyline Boutique Edition is presented on a steel bracelet with a satin-brushed surface, complementing the angular case with its chamfered and polished edges. Additionally, an ice blue rubber strap with a starry sky pattern is included, offering an alternative style that can be effortlessly swapped without the need for tools, thanks to the DEFY case’s quick strap-change mechanism.
The DEFY Skyline Ice Blue Boutique Edition in 41mm is exclusively available on Zenith’s online boutique, while the two 36mm versions can be found at physical and online Zenith boutiques.
