Will Smith Joins Haute Living and Graham Watches at ‘Counterparts’ Opening
This month, Haute Living teamed up with luxury watchmakers Graham to host the unveiling of the Counterparts exhibition. The party was held at the Buena Vista Building in Miami’s Design District, where the installation of celebrity photographs by legendary photographer Phil Stern and contemporary Hollywood photographer Robert Zuckerman was unveiled.
The event was attended by Hollywood superstar Will Smith and his son Trey, who just made his debut as a DJ during Art Basel Miami. Samir Shah, the managing director of Graham USA, also joined NBA star James ‘Jim’ Johnson at the event, which was sponsored by Don Julio Tequila and Magellan Jets. To complement the photography, Graham highlighted some of the key watches from their current collection. Showcased at the gallery were the Graham Chronofighter Oversize Black Sahara, Graham Silverstone Stowe USA Limited Edition and the Graham Silverstone Tourbillograph.
The incredible collection photographs captures yesterday and today’s luminaries through the lens of two iconic artists, juxtaposing archetypes decades apart. For example, Stern’s 1955 portrait of the original rebel, James Dean, is shown with Zuckerman’s portrait of modern playboy George Clooney, circa 1990. One of the most touching pieces shows an innocent Marilyn Monroe in 1953 alongside an angelic Brittany Murphy in 1997; two young women who left us too son. Both photographer’s portraits, though separated by an entire generation, convey an intimate glimpse at the stars we so love.
