Watch Of The Week: The New Longines Evidenza
This August, Longines looked to its past to create new modern models of the Longines Evidenza collection. Drawing inspiration from the brand’s design DNA and aesthetic codes of the Art Deco era, the new models exude Longine’s historical elegance while seamlessly becoming a contemporary classic.

For the new Longines Evidenza timepieces, the tonneau shape that was launched over a century ago has been reimagined, yet also adhering to the simplicity and purity of the soft curved lines of its original design. The stainless steel case serves as a window to the dial that features two finishes: the individual sectors are matte finished, surrounded by a rose print, and the rest of the dial is distinguished by a sunray brush finish, adding a sophisticated depth to the dial. And in true Art Deco style, the Roman Numerals are hand painted on each dial.

The collection boasts a range of colors for the dial, including silver, green, red, anthracite, champagne, and blue, fitted with alligator leather straps that are offered in red, green, anthracite, grey, or blue. For those opting for a more sporty look, a stainless steel bracelet is offered with the silver coloring. The highly-curated selection of colors undoubtedly maintains the timeless elegance of the Evidenza.

At the heart of the new classics is the automatic caliber with an anti-magnetic silicon balance-spring that enhances its performance and stability. Once again, Longines proves that in order to design modern modes, the brand must revisit the past.
