Van Cleef & Arpels presents The Art & Science Of Gems Exhibition In Singapore
Van Cleef & Arpels, in collaboration with the French National Museum of Natural History, is presenting the Art & Science Of Gems exhibition at the ArtScience Museum at the Marina Bay Sands.
The exhibit, which runs from April 23 to August 14, features more than four hundred pieces of jewellery that are hand-picked selectively from the Van Cleef & Arpels Collection and from private collectors, and icons of the Parisian jeweller’s expertise.
Just besides these exquisite pieces are important natural treasures and scientific artifacts from the world-renowned Minerals and Gems Collection of the French National Museum of Natural History in Paris, invited by L’.cole Van Cleef & Arpels.
Nicolas Bos, Chief Executive Officer of Van Cleef & Arpels invited actor Cate Blanchett to preview the exhibit and see the great art that goes into the creation of Van Cleef & Arpels’ jeweled pieces.
Making their way among the 1,500 sq mt of galleries dedicated to the exhibition, visitors are submerged in a timeless atmosphere of mystery, heightened by lighting effects ranging from midnight blue to deep green. The décor was created by the duo of Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku.
The iconic lotus‑inspired building, the venue for this exhibition, totalling 50,000 square feet, has staged major exhibitions by some of the 20th century’s key artists, including Salvador Dal., Andy Warhol and Vincent Van Gogh.
