Handcrafted by highly skilled Italian goldsmiths, these five jewelry pieces showcased at the recent Couture show in Las Vegas represent the epitome of impeccable Italian craftsmanship.

Vhernier Velvet (1)

1. VHERNIER
This magnificent Velvet necklace, which debuted at The Couture Show, is made of titanium and uses 2,321 pieces of diamonds weighing a total of 17.19 carats. The centre stone, an incredible and rare tanzanite weighing 70.05 carats plays protagonist. During the 2016 Couture Show in Las Vegas, this jewel was featured as the top 3 finalist for both the Haute Couture and the Editor’s Choice award categories.

This one of a kind necklace from Vhernier exemplifies the brand’s dedication to innovation and attention to detail. Why titanium over gold? Besides being extremely light-weight, it allows Vhernier artisans to demonstrate their exceptional craftsmanship, as this material is extremely difficult to work with. The result is a necklace that took tremendous skill, design, foresight, and deliberate execution to create – a challenge that Vhernier (founded in Valenza, Piedmont region) is continually committed to meet.

Gucci Tiger

2. GUCCI
Fashion house Gucci’s Timepieces & Jewelry division introduced new additions to the Le Marché des Merveilles fine jewelry collection at Baselworld 2016, which were showcased in America for the first time at the Couture show. An eclectic tiger head duo includes a pendant necklace in 18-carat pink gold with white and black diamonds, with emeralds for green eyes, retailing at USD 41,500, while the tiger head motif ring is priced at USD 21,500.

The Giardini Segreti Haute Couture necklace is dedicated to the magic of enchanted gardens. The nuances of amethyst and pink agate come alive in the warmth of 18-carat rose gold and diamonds.
“I love to create beauty, magnificence and joy. I like to seduce with feminine colours and wrap the body with sensuality thanks to lights and different shapes,” reveals Eugenia Bruni, daughter of Pasquale Bruni and Creative Director of the brand. “Other details are a secret…”

4. MARCO BICEGO
This stunning, yet-to-be-released cuff is made up of 15 strands of Marco Bicego’s signature handmade 18-carat gold coil. The cuff is part of the Vicenza-based jeweler’s new Sak’s 15 Year Anniversary Collection, and will retail for USD 36,430.

Antonini - Siracusa collection (13)

5. ANTONINI
Made exclusively in Italy and reflecting a powerful bond with the city of Milan, Antonini is inspired by geometry in their new Siracusa collection. The name of the collection comes from Syracuse, the birthplace of Archimedes. The city is rich in Greek history and a great deal of philosophical and mathematical concepts have come from it. The unique Siracusa jewelry pieces play with shapes such as circles, ellipses and curves intersecting to form crosses and orbits.
