From Rolex To Richard Mille, Tom Brady’s Wrist Game Has Been On Fire
Though this is the first year we are not seeing Tom Brady on the football field, he has sure given us a reason to be watching him. From attending the highly-anticipated U.S. Open to speaking during a ceremony honoring him during halftime of New England’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Gillette Stadium, Brady has been sporting a rather strong wrist game that has kept us on high alert. After being spotted in early August wearing the new Rolex Day-Date “Puzzle Dial,” Brady officially set the tone for what was yet to come. Ahead, we’re looking at some of the best timepieces Brady has been spotted wearing this fall.

To mark the start of the NFL season, Brady was seen wearing an incredibly rare Rolex: the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona ref. 6241 “John Player Special.” Often affectionately referred to as the “John Player Special,” this Rolex is an iconic timepiece that has left an indelible mark on the world of luxury watches. Manufactured in the 1960s, this particular Daytona model earned its nickname due to its striking resemblance to the John Player Special Formula 1 race cars, which featured a black and gold livery. The watch boasts a black dial with contrasting gold sub-dials and a tachymeter scale, giving it a sporty yet sophisticated appearance. The combination of the black acrylic bezel and the 14-karat gold case further enhances its allure. The “John Player Special” has become a highly sought-after collector’s item, making it perhaps the most precious Rolex Brady owns.

Admittingly, this Richard Mille spotted on Brady took us by surprise. Another rare timepiece, Brady is wearing a platinum Richard Mille RM 012 released in 2006 after two years of development and four prototypes. This limited edition watch proves to be a remarkable historical model in the brand’s lineup, representing the epitome of horological innovation and craftsmanship. Its tonneau-shaped case, made from high-tech materials, houses a complex manual-winding movement, featuring a tourbillon and a split-seconds chronograph. The transparent dial offers a captivating view of the intricate mechanics within, while the ergonomic design ensures comfort for the wearer.

Brady was also seen during the U.S. Open this year rocking the new Rolex Cosmograph Daytona “Le Mans” in 18-karat white gold, which was released earlier this summer. Rolex’s longstanding partnership with the 24 Hours of Le Mans, dating back to 2001, underscores the brand’s commitment to precision and excellence in motorsports timing. The coveted prize for winners of the prestigious race’s top class is a specially engraved Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona, a watch that has achieved legendary status for its iconic design and impeccable functionality. In a fitting tribute to the race’s 100th anniversary and the model’s 60th anniversary in 2023, Rolex unveiled a limited-edition white gold Daytona Le Mans. Priced at $51,400, this timepiece combines timeless elegance with cutting-edge precision, featuring a central sweep seconds hand capable of measuring intervals as short as 1/8 of a second and two counters on the dial for tracking elapsed hours and minutes.
