Rolls Royce Releases Phantom Tempus Collection

Time is a mysterious phenomenon, where the last year we have contemplated the meaning and significance of time, the British automaker has taken inspiration to create a masterpiece with unique timelessness, longevity and permanence. The Rolls Royce Phantom Tempus Collection is a magnificent incarnation of our pinnacle product, inspired by a mysterious celestial phenomenon and Time, which Albert Einstein, one of the greatest minds in human history, defined as a persistent illusion.

Imbibing the essence of the timelessness has been a constant with Rolls Royce. “Phantom Tempus is a motor car for those who shape the world as they seek their own place in the universe. The car includes various aesthetic and intellectual themes relating to time and the cosmos. The luxury car manufacturer’s mascot, the Spirit of Ecstasy, celebrating its 110th anniversary, is personalised with a significant date and location of the owner’s choosing – a wedding, birthdate or anniversary. The Phantom Tempus Collection uses a rare astronomical phenomenon, the pulsar, as a centrepiece in a Bespoke Starlight Headliner consisting of fibre-optic lighting and intricate Bespoke embroidery, creating the unique and beautiful Pulsar Headliner.

The limousine draws inspiration from the Frozen Flow of Time’ Gallery housing 100 individually contoured columns (representing the 100-million-year period of a rotational spin of a pulsar star), milled from a single billet of black-anodised and hand-polished aluminium. Phantom’s Gallery also features Hundreds of illuminated perforations form swirling, twisting patterns in the door linings. If you place close attention to the glovebox you would find a quote from Albert Einstein, “The distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion“.

The exterior of the Phantom Tempus Collection is presented in a new Bespoke paint finish, Kairos Blue, created to embody the darkness and mystery of space. The jewel-like blue mica flakes glitter when the light hits them mimicking the stars and are highlighted by black exterior detailing. Every Rolls Royce Phantom Tempus Collection is accompanied by the Tempus Champagne Chest housing a hand-painted pulsar artwork, below which lay thermal flasks for chilling both champagne and caviar, four hand-blown crystal champagne flutes arranged to evoke the cylinders of a V12 engine and a fine mother-of-pearl caviar spoon.

The Tempus is powered by a twin-turbocharged, 6.8-litre V12 engine that effortlessly develops 563 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. With only 20 examples of the Rolls Royce Phantom Tempus, the limousine is already allocated to clients.
