Richard Mille Releases Its First-Ever Women’s Sports Watch: Introducing The RM 07-04 Automatic Sport

For the first time in its history, Richard Mille is designing a performance watch for the modern woman. The Richard Mille RM 07-04 Automatic Sport watch is the latest addition to the iconic Swiss luxury watch brand’s collection of high-functioning, one-of-a-kind sports watches. “Totally in tune with the constraints imposed by the disciplines of our sportswomen, it combines ergonomics and ultra-lightness, performance and resistance, extreme skeletonization and architectural aesthetics,” notes the brand.

The design of the RM 07-04 is inspired by the world of high-performance racing and is built for endurance and precision. The watch case is made of Carbon TPT, a material known for its extreme durability and resistance to wear and tear.

Upon first look, there’s one thing we’re certain: the watch is fun. The six new models are vibrant and bold, offered in a dynamic range of strategically paired colors. Perhaps the focal point of the piece, the watch features a skeletonized dial, revealing the intricate inner workings of the watch. The dial is finished with a matte black coating, contrasting perfectly with the luminous hour markers and hands. In addition, the hour markers are made of white gold, which adds a further touch of femininity to the timepiece.

As with all Richard Mille watches, the RM 07-04 is a true masterpiece that took three years to perfect. “We had to resolve a threefold technical challenge: extreme skeletonization, integration of the case with the movement, and inclusion of an inverted function selector,” explains Salvador Arbona, Technical Director for Movements.

Each component is hand-crafted and meticulously assembled to ensure the watch meets the brand’s pristine standards. The watch is powered by the RM 037 caliber movement, which features a variable-geometry rotor that can be adjusted to suit the wearer’s lifestyle and activity level. The RM 07-04 is also water-resistant up to 50 meters, making it suitable for swimming and other water sports — even snow sports.
