Earlier this month, Haute Time visited the Richard Mille Beverly Hills Boutique in California. We showed you our exclusive photos of the Richard Mille 59-01 “The Beast”. Today we’re bringing you another watch that is a complete work of art by Richard Mille.

As we are aware the Richard Mille RM 27-01, created for tennis pro Rafael Nadal, gets a lot of global coverage – especially since Nadal actually wears the $690,000 tourbillon on court during matches. While that is a huge achievement, it might be an even bigger achievement to be able to wear a tourbillon during a polo match.

Well, that is why the manufacture created the Richard Mille RM 053. This watch was built for polo player Pablo Mac Donough to use during professional-level polo games. The RM 053 is a tourbillon, and it was built with a very tough case in micro-blasted titanium and titanium carbide. The face of the watch has just two small windows to display the time.

Seeing the pieces Richard Mille created for Nadal, Blake, and now Mac Donough really speaks for the brand. Besides being works of art, these timepieces are able to withstand rigorous conditions, from a tennis match to Olympic sprinting and horseback polo games. For more information on these timepieces, visit the Richard Mille website or stop by the Richard Mille Beverly Hills Boutique.
