Richard Mille Announces RM 016 “Black Night” Limited Edition
Wrists up! Richard Mille will be releasing an all-new RM 016 Black Night, and there will only be 10 pieces made.
RM 016 follows the infamous RM 010 Black Night, which swung with the Richard Mille Polo Team’s winning hits. A red rubber strap sealed with a black DLC-treated buckle illustrates Richard Mille’s flair for innovative materials. But what steps RM 016 up is a unique fusion of sophistication and architecture with an ‘All Black’ DLC treatment of the titanium case, creating a striking, albeit smooth contrast with the red flange.
Under the case is an exclusive Richard Mille concept, a skeletonized caliber RMAS7 automatic-winding movement with an integrated variable geometry rotor. This function allows the automatic winding to adapt to the wearer’s activity.
RM 016 pushes the boundaries of avant-garde watchmaking with its individuality, but remains grounded in the famed Richard Mille quality. While it makes brand history with an extra flat, rectangular case, the detail and technical dimensions, which require 202 separate operations for manufacturing and assembling of the case’s three sections, continue to embody the RM convention.
This holistic approach around the movement, casing and face results in a more future-oriented masterpiece of a watch genius.
