Rare Patek Philippe Timepieces Up For Auction In April
Antiquorum Auctioneers will feature a selection of extremely rare Patek Philippe timepieces in its upcoming April 25th auction, “Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces” on Madison Avenue in New York City.
The centerpiece of the sale will be the Patek Philippe Ref. 3974 in platinum. The watch is an astronomic, minute repeating, self-winding wristwatch with a perpetual calendar, leap-year indication and moon phases. It comes stamped by renowned case maker Jean-Pierre Hagmann along with the original fitted mahogany box, certificate of origin, setting pin and caseback. It’s value is estimated at $600,000 – $800,000.
Other timepieces sure to draw attention are the Patek Philippe Ref. 2438, a rare 1958 classic piece, and the Patek Philippe Ref. 5013, a yellow gold, a tonneau-shaped, minute-repeating, astronomic watch with retrograde perpetual calendar, valued at $200,000-$300,000 and $300,000 to $400,000 respectively.
