The Spirit Of Racing: TAG Heuer Goes Bold With Three New Formula 1 Chronographs
TAG Heuer has always had a deep relationship with racing, revealing the brand’s unwavering zest for speed, adrenaline, and innovative, bold design. To honor its longstanding relationship with Formula 1, the brand has unveiled three new timepieces within the TAG Heuer Formula 1 collection that undoubtedly are making a statement. Designed in three new colorways that embody the vibrant colors of the racetrack — green, yellow, and red — the new chronographs capture the spirit of the first TAG Heuer Formula 1 pieces from the 1980s.

The new, bold timepieces sport a 43 mm case in fine-brushed stainless steel with pushbuttons at 2 and 4 o’clock and a strong black PVD steel fixed tachymeter-scale bezel with positive numerals revealing a dynamic contrast between the bright colors. The dials are designed with a sunray brushed dial for an elevated feel that creates texture, depth, and light effects. Adhering to the racing theme woven throughout the watch, the screw-down caseback reveals a checkered flag motif.

While the three timepieces are incredibly similar, each colored piece features slightly different details. For example, on the green edition, the indexes and hands are black with white Super-LumiNova®, the central hand is lacquered white, and the chronograph sub-counters are circled in red; on the yellow edition, the indexes are black with white Super-LumiNova®, the hours and minutes hands are black, and the central hand is lacquered red; and finally, on the red edition, the hands and indexes are rhodium-plated with white Super-LumiNova®, the central hand is lacquered white, and the chronograph sub-counters are circled in white.
