Bulgari Is Set To Release Three New Aluminium Timepieces This Summer — Here’s What We Know
In 1998, Bulgari completely disrupted the industry when it introduced the first Bulgari Aluminium timepiece. Bulgari transformed a material that seems quite unconventional in the luxury timepiece echelon into a modern material that proved to be both versatile and technical. Today, they are reviving the ’90s sports watch with three new models set to debut throughout the summer.

Launching first in May is the blue Capri edition, reminiscent of summers spent on the Mediterranean – and launching just in time to fulfill the watch collector’s need for a sporty summer timepiece. The limited edition comes in two models: the Capri Solotempo powered by Caliber B77 with the date and the Capri Chronograph equipped with Caliber B130 with the date — both boasting a 42-hour power reserve. Each timepiece houses the self-winding movement within a 40mm aluminium case with a titanium caseback with DLC coating with the engraving of the ‘Faraglioni of Capri’ on the back and fitted with a matching navy rubber strap finished with aluminium touches in the links and pin buckle.
Next, launching in both June and September, introducing a brand new movement, Caliber B381, is the Aluminium Chronograph. Again, this timepiece will be released in two models — and perhaps the most notable of the two is the all-black version, as this is the first time the Aluminium Chronograph is designed monochromatic. In contrast, Bulgari revisits the classic black-and-white version, updated since its release in 2020 with the new movement. Both timepieces sport a slightly larger case at 41mm, complete with a sleek black rubber strap.

Last but certainly not least is the Match Point edition, which will make its debut come July. Inspired by the sport of tennis as well as the atmosphere it curates, the Match Point edition boasts a luxurious green color, a left-hand crown, and a Velcro strap for the ultimate functional yet elegant timepiece. The details on both the dial and caseback also give the nod to tennis as the white dial is complemented with light green indexes and hour and minute hands with Super-LumiNova®, and the caseback features an engraving of a tennis ball. Limited to 800 pieces, this edition launches just in time for the US Open in New York.

These new timepieces come on the heels of Bulgari’s exceptionally sporty timepieces unveiled at Watches and Wonders, like the Octo Roma Chronograph and Octo Roma Papillon Tourbillon, making a major statement on the direction of Bulgari timepieces.
