MB&F x Bulgari FlyingT Allegra: True Magic Happens When The Great Collaborate

Although they both have a completely different heritage, are Bulgari and MB&F not that different in the way that they approach watchmaking. While they are firm believers in craftsmanship and have a keen eye for details, they are both also innovators. This innovation can be technical advancement, but also in terms of design both brands love to push the envelope. So when they decide to collaborate, true magic happens.

The Bulgari x MB&F FlyingT Allegra combines the best of both brands. As the name already gives away, the watch is based on the FlyingT, MB&F’s highly original ladies watch, with a flying tourbillon and tilted dial housed under a sapphire dome. Bulgari redesigned the case, and opted for a setting of brilliant-cut diamonds to underscore the precious nature of this model. This continues with the rest of the watch, as the dial is also pave-set, it features a snow-setting, just like the top of the movement. In a stroke of brilliance, they serve as the backdrop for more significant, exquisite gems, perfectly balancing the technical marvel that the FlyingT is.

MB&F and Bulgari are making their collaborative timepiece in two different versions, one with a white gold case and one in red. While both feature a similar setting in diamonds, there is a slight difference in the exquisite larger stones to get a better synergy with the color of the precious metal. Fortunately, the movement doesn’t differ, as both are powered by MB&F’s unique caliber with a stacked architecture. Topped off by a diamond-set flying tourbillon, is this movement highly refined. We also see this in its performance, as the stunning sun-shaped oscillating weight made from platinum, titanium, and red gold, automatically winds the mainspring, which has a power reserve of 100-hours when fully wound. Bulgari and MB&F will make 20 pieces of each version of the FlyingT Allegra, a result of what happens when the great collaborate.
