Legendary Chef Jean-Georges Celebrates A New Chapter With The Opening Of Four Twenty Five With Vacheron Constantin
Throughout time, the relationship between chefs and high watchmaking has always proven to be a special bond. Case in point: Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten celebrated a new chapter, with the opening of his new restaurant — Four Twenty Five — alongside Vacheron Constantin.
A brand dear to the chef’s heart, Vacheron Constantin hosted guests at the boutique where Alexander Schmiedt, the Brand President of Vacheron Constantin Americas, toasted Vongerichten and his great accomplishments thus far in the culinary industry.
On Vongerichten’s wrist was the Overseas Self-Winding (4500V/000R-B127) in 18-karat pink gold fitted with a neutral rubber strap — after sporting the Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Retrograde Day-Date 42.5mm in pink gold on the Haute Living November cover. Vongerichten’s taste in watches reflects his pristine reputation in the kitchen; they are refined, elegant, and crafted to absolute perfection.
Following cocktails at the boutique, guests were chauffeured by Bentley to dinner at Four Twenty Five where they indulged in an intimate dinner with a parade of Vongerichten’s masterpieces, including standout dishes such as crudité and sunflower seed hummus with basil oil and crushed chili, steamed black bass, winter mushrooms, and spiced broth flavored with finger lime, sesame, and rosemary, and ending with a sweet delicacy, a pear frangipane tart with tahini, grapefruit, ginger, and rose.
The evening was elevated by the presence of notable figures such as Kamal Hotchandani – the CEO of Haute Media Group — Aaron Cowen, Schmiedt, Carmelo Anthony, Food God, Shu Chowdhury, and Daniel Bing — the Marketing & Communication Director of Vacheron Constantin Americas — all adding their aura to the event’s grandeur.
