The sensitive mechanics of wristwatches don’t traditionally play nice with water, but HYT has made it their mission to pull two seemingly opposing objects together into feats of horology, creating watches with actual liquids pumping through their veins. So it’s only fitting that the young watchmaker has chosen a sailing race for it’s first true partnership. HYT has become the official timekeeper of the 2015 RC44 tour.

To celebrate this newly minted partnership, HYT will be producing a limited edition series of watches specifically designed for the RC44 Class Association, and HYT promises the same knack for innovative engineering and alluring design that has always marked their timepieces.

Speaking on the partnership, Founder of the RC44 Class Association and five times America’s Cup winner Russell Coutts said, “Partnering with the prestigious Swiss watch company HYT is an exciting step for the RC44 Class and a fantastic complement which reinforces and strengthens both HYT and RC44 Class’s defining spirit – high performance, design and effortless style. This partnership will strengthen the RC44 Class brand as it continues to grow.”

The ninth edition of the RC44 Championship Tour will make its debut in Valletta, Malta from March 25-29, 2015.
