Hublot Releases Limited Edition Premier League Timepiece

Luxury Swiss watch brand Hublot has released a new limited edition Premier League version of their Big Bang e connected watch. This new watch was created in partnership with the Premier League and is an evolution of the Big Bang with a new football dedicated application, new dial, new strap, and in purple, the official Premier League color.

Hublot is the official timekeeper of the Premier League and was the first Swiss watch brand and luxury brand to get involved with the sport. The company created the first luxury connected football watch for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and now follows that up with a second watch specifically for the Premier League. 

The 200-piece, lightweight, limited edition watch is powered by Wear OS by Google which comes with the exclusive Hublot Loves Football Premier League app. This app offers users animated notifications for match kick-off times, goals, penalties, substitutions, yellow and red cards, and time added on. Another interesting feature is that the dial can be set using digital or analog displays but when connected to the app, it will automatically switch to “Match Mode” when a Premier League match begins. 

Other features of the app include: showing team line-ups and VAR decisions,  signaling when a match is over with a countdown clock to the next one, and the ability to switch and keep track between two different games with a simple screen tap. This app is only available to those who buy the limited-edition watch, but will later also be available to existing Hublot Big Band e connected owners through hublot.com or the Google Play app store. 

Additionally, Hublot is giving Premier League referees a unique version of the watch that will not be commercially available. This version is even more lightweight than the original and is outfitted with additional functions such as goal-line technology that signals to the referee when the ball has crossed the line.
