Having partnered with the philanthropic The Prince’s Trust, Swiss horologer Hublot unveiled a special edition charity watch. At an exclusive event in late April that included a private tour of the King’s Apartments at the historic Kensigton Palace in London, the label presented the Classic Fusion Chronograph Prince’s Trust. The watch debuted at the iconic Orangery, where a sculpture of Hublot’s H stood decked out in white and blue hydrangeas.

Hosted by Hubot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe the occasion, complemented by a seasonal gala dinner, saw a slew of prominent guests, including The Prince’s Trust Marketing Director Paul Brown, Harrods Chief Merchant Helen Davis, footballer Rio Ferdinand, Chelsea FC legends Nemanja Matic and Asmir Begovic as well as Hublot brand ambassador Maxime Buchi, who designed the brand’s Sang Bleu watches.

Behind the exquisiteness of the event stood a benevolent cause – Hublot’s support for Britain’s disadvantaged youth. “We are delighted to partner with The Prince’s Trust on this special project which strives to recognize and advance the full potential of disadvantaged young people in the UK and Ireland,” said Guadalupe in a press statement on the occasion. “As a leading yet relatively new Swiss watch manufacture, Hublot values the need to constantly invest in advancing innovation and securing a promising future, and we see the United Kingdom and Ireland as the perfect territory to put this vision in to practice with the important charitable work of The Prince’s Trust.”

A collectors piece, the Classic Fusion Chronograph Prince’s Trust comes with a distinct 45mm case in polished and satin-finished titanium. It houses a blue sun-ray satin finished dial. Linked to a blue rubber and alcantara strap, the self-wining watch (42 hours of power reserve) boasts The Prince’s Trust logo at 12 o’clock.

Limited to only 100 pieces, the Classic Fusion Chronograph Prince’s Trust is exclusively available in the UK through Harrods for a month. A portion of the sale proceeds will stream directly to The Prince’s Trust.
