We ventured into the cold this weekend as we followed Hublot to the slopes to celebrate the new Aspen One timepiece (that we actually got a sneak peek look at during LVMH Watch Week). This weekend was a massive moment for the brand as they launched its third special edition timepiece with Aspen Snowmass—the Big Bang MECA-10 Aspen One—during the inaugural competition weekend of The Snow League, held March 6–8 in Aspen, Colorado. As the Official Watch and Timekeeper of The Snow League, Hublot celebrated the fusion of precision craftsmanship and cutting-edge winter sports, awarding its coveted timepieces to the event’s top performers while hosting an unforgettable après-ski celebration.

The Snow League, the brainchild of three-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White, is the world’s first professional winter sports league dedicated exclusively to snowboarding and freeskiing. Its debut event at Buttermilk Mountain set the tone for a season that promises to redefine the future of competitive winter sports. Hublot, a brand synonymous with innovation and disruption, found a natural partner in The Snow League, and the launch of the Big Bang MECA-10 Aspen One underscored their shared commitment to excellence.

Launched in June 2024 by White, The Snow League introduces a four-event global competition format for its inaugural season. Following its kickoff in Aspen, the league heads to Yunding Secret Garden in China (December 4–6, 2025), where freeskiers join the snowboarders, before returning to Buttermilk Mountain (February 26–28, 2026) and concluding at Switzerland’s legendary LAAX halfpipe (March 19–21, 2026). Athletes will vie for points across these events, culminating in the crowning of the first-ever Snow League World Champions—ultimately changing the future of winter sports, as White noted throughout the weekend.

On Saturday, March 8, the snowboarding finals electrified Buttermilk Mountain, culminating in a Champions Party at the iconic Snow Lodge at the St. Regis Aspen. The event pulsed with energy as DJ Steve Angello of Swedish House Mafia fame spun tracks for an elite crowd of athletes, Hublot guests, and global tastemakers. Hublot took center stage, honoring the weekend’s highest overall scorers—Japan’s Yuto Totsuka and Korea’s Gaon Choi—with Classic Fusion Racing Grey timepieces, a fitting tribute to their mastery on the slopes.

The weekend drew an A-list roster, including White, who sported the Big Bang MECA-10 Aspen One, alongside Nina Dobrev, Julianne Hough, Pom Klementieff, Jayma Cardoso, Miles and Keleigh Teller, Sofi Tukker, and J Balvin. Their presence cemented Aspen Snowmass as a nexus of sport, luxury, and culture—a reputation bolstered by Hublot’s longstanding partnership with the destination.
