A Haute Look At Every New Patek Philippe Timepiece Revealed At Watches & Wonders 2023
There’s no denying that the Patek Philippe releases during Watches & Wonders are always a highly-anticipated affair. With few speculations but no confirmations of what is to come, the new Patek timepieces always arrive with unexpected newness while also adhering to the brand’s DNA. Unveiling a dynamic range of new models, from the Calatrava with an original 24-hour display and a Travel Time function for the display of a second time zone to the three new Aquanauts, here is a haute look at every new Patek Philippe timepiece — 17 in total — we saw in Geneva.
GRAND COMPLICATION
This year, Patek Philippe reimagined the design of its most complicated wristwatch by presenting it for the first time ever in a two-tone version of white gold and rose cold, complemented with a brown opaline dial.
COMPLICATIONS
Another first for the brand, Patek introduces the first chronograph model in its Pilot style watch collection, combined with a Travel Time function and a date indication by hand coupled with local time — offered in a white gold version with the iconic sunburst dial in blue-gray as well as a white gold version with a khaki green lacquered dial — both with corresponding straps.
Combining two Patek complications, the self-winding flyback chronograph with Annual Calendar, Reference 5905, is presented in a new rose gold version with a sunburst blue dial.
Perhaps one of the heroes of the new releases, Patek has introduced the Calatrava model equipped with the Travel Time dual time zone function and distinguished by its 24-hour display.
AQUANAUTS
Patek debuts three new Aquanaut models, two of which are ladies-focused: first, the Aquanaut Luce in rose gold with an elegant taupe-colored dial and strap and second, the Aquanaut Luce with a new, practical complication: the patented Annual Calendar; without a gemset case.
Patek also releases a sporty style of the Aquanaut chronograph in a rose gold version, complemented with a sunburst brown dial featuring a black-gradient rim and matching composite strap.
CALATRAVAS
Adhering to its sophisticated sport style, Patek expands its Calatrava collection with three new white gold timepieces featuring a more graphic style with ebony black dials featuring an embossed carbon pattern in the center, contrasted with hints of primary colors — red, blue, and yellow — throughout the dial and strap design.
For an elegant new ladies piece, the self-winding Calatrava Reference 4997 in rose gold is introduced in an incredibly luxurious purple and diamond-set bezel.
GONDOLO
Last but certainly not least, the Gondolo Serata makes its return to the collection in a new, slightly enlarged rose gold model.
