Haute Jewelry: Cate Blanchett’s Golden Globes Chopard Diamonds
It’s no surprise that Cate Blanchet looked the epitome of elegance and good taste at the golden globes this past Sunday. Her look is self-assured and strong just as the roles she choses. With her Los Angeles based stylist Elizabeth Stewart, with whom she has a long relationship, there is bound to be a home run.
Trophies were acquired all around, not only for her performance in Blue Jasmine but also for her red carpet look. Blanchett wore an Armani Prive’ black lace gossamer gown and a circular wreath of diamonds on her ears, ethically sourced and created by the family operated Swiss jeweler Chopard.
The earrings are composed of 11 carats of white marquise-cut diamonds. A laurel design bracelet with 35 carats of diamonds set in platinum adorned her wrist.
Both pieces were completed by Chopard artisans last week and are a part of the “Green Carpet Collection” which sources diamonds responsibly. Cate truly brought the issue of sustainable luxury center stage by her choice of jewels for this event!
