Between its legacy in music, fashion, and architecture, the ’60s made a huge and lasting impression on our society. The decade’s spirit embodied self-expression, the desire for change, and the will to expand one’s horizons. These are all values that come as second nature to Glashütte Original. The Sixties Small Second combines the ’60s and today with style and precision.
The Sixties Small Second marks the arrival of a new character to the eclectic Sixties collection for Glashütte Original. For the first time, the Saxon manufactory presents this elegant timekeeper complete with a small second. In this new version the fastest of the three hands has a stage of its own, thanks to a separate display at 6 o’clock.

The Sixties models have been integral to the Glashütte Original vintage collection for years. Popular pass models include the three-hand model, Panorama Date, chronograph, or a colorful limited edition. Regardless of the model, fans worldwide love their subtle retro look, and the Sixties Small Second promises to be no different.
This small second is set within the galvanic silver dial and decorated with a fine vinyl-type finish. The color of the hands correspond with the 42-mm rose gold case and the indexes and numerals, which reference a 1960s typeface. The matte green Louisiana alligator leather strap enhances the shippable ’60s design.

Inside the watch is an intricate automatic movement, elaborately hand-crafted in the brand’s own workshops. The 39-60 manufactory caliber beats at 28,800 half-oscillations per hour, driving the hour, minute and small second displays reliably and precisely. Its individual components feature refined decorative finishes, including Glashütte stripes, bevelled edges, and polished screws. Together with the skeletonized rotor and its signature double-G logo, these details can be admired in all their glory through the sapphire crystal case back, which wraps comfortably around the wrist.
The Sixties Small Second will be available at Glashütte Original boutiques worldwide and from selected retailers as of June 15th.
