Giuliani Helps Hublot Launch NYC King Power Arturo Fuente

Swiss haute horlogerie manufacture Hublot played host for a very special, intimate luncheon in honor of Carlos Fuente, Jr., owner of Arturo Fuente Cigars, to celebrate the New York City unveiling of the newest Hublot timepiece, the King Power Arturo Fuente. The event took place in the prestigious Grand Havana Room.  The unique chronograph is the result of a different yet very effective collaboration between the watchmaker and the producer of the world’s best cigars.

Top clients of Hublot along with selected members of the press were given champagne to sip while admiring the King Power Arturo Fuente timepiece; afterwards all guests were treated to a three-course lunch.  Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of NYC, made a special visit to the event to congratulate his close friend Carlos Fuente, Jr., on the partnership.

As the luncheon event started to wind down, Paula Zahn, the Emmy-award winning journalist and friend of the Hublot brand, took the opportunity to conduct an interview with Fuente; a touching and heart-warming conversation ensued in which Fuente described the Hublot partnership and the idea of giving back to the community.

Fuente stated:  “for my family and everybody who is here today, this is a very special moment and the best culmination of 100 years of my family’s achievements.  Today we celebrate with a BIG BANG and leave 2012 with great cigars and a great watch, the Hublot King Power “Arturo Fuente”.

The special edition timepiece, created especially to celebrate the 100^th anniversary of the Arturo Fuente brand, pays tribute to the Opus X, the rarest type of cigar in the world.  Only 100 of the King Gold version will be available, and only 200 of the King Ceramic version will be produced.

The watches come in a genuine cigar case made of Macassar ebony and included in the case will be Opus X cigars.
