Watch Of The Week: The New Girard-Perregaux Laureato Pink Gold And Onyx
This summer, Girard-Perregaux has welcomed a new member to the iconic Laureato family: the Laureato 42mm Pink Gold and Onyx. Since its original launch over 45 years ago in 1975, the timepiece has withstood the test of time, proving to stay modern in its design, becoming a collector’s dream.
The Laureato’s look is known for its sleek, geometric lines with an octagonal bezel that sits atop a circular ring that is positioned above an angular tonneau-shaped case; however, it possesses a more gentle character with its smoothly polished and satin finished surfaces that radiate sophistication. The latest launch embodies the founding attributes of the original while catapulting the timepiece into the modern era.

The new Laureato Pink Gold and Onyx has an 18-carat pink gold case with a contrasting, handcrafted black onyx dial, creating a contemporary feel for a classic piece. Positioned at 12 o’clock, the hands — baton-style indexes and GP logo — are also designed in warm golden tones. Equipped with an in-house, self-winding mechanical movement that requires extreme detail and intricate craft, the Girard-Perregaux Laureato 42mm has a power reserve of 54 hours, minimum.
