WatchBox leads the charge to revolutionize the pre-owned watch category with a team of industry leaders, which includes Danny Govberg, CEO of Govberg Jewelers, investor-entrepreneur Justin Reis, and former owner of Sincere Watch, Tay Liam Wee. With the watch industry going through a period of consolidation, they feel that the time is right for a platform that offers consumers and collectors an easily accessible and trustworthy way to buy, sell, and trade their pre-owned luxury watches.

And their thesis for the category was validated, as earlier this year Singapore based CMIA Capital Partners led a very successful investment round to acquire funds to accelerate growth across the key global luxury markets. This gives WatchBox access to over $100 million to expand its multi-platform strategy in the upcoming months.
The first phase of growth will be in Asia, where WatchBox opened its headquarters in Hong Kong earlier this year. The management team for this region includes industry heavyweights such as Samuel Lee, previously CEO and founder of Elegant Watches, and Tay Liam Wuan, previously Managing Director of Emperor Watches. Further expansion across Asia and into Europe is planned for the next 6-12 months.
