The illustrious car dealership, The Collection, in Coral Gables, Fla., welcomed Automobili Pininfarina CEO Michael Perschke as the brand debuted its newest beauty—the Pininfarina Batista. The all-electric hypercar was recently unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show to much acclaim. Boasting 1900 hp that goes from 0 to 62 mph in less than two seconds, the limited-edition automobile is already in high demand. Currently, only 50 cars were built for the U.S. market. The Collection serves as one of the few hand-selected Pininfarina dealers in the country.

VIP guests were invited to come meet with Perschke and learn more about the brand’s revolutionary car. The brand considers the Battista to be the “Picasso of the automobile world,” as it boasts impeccable design, innovative features and it’s indicative of what the future holds for the world of automobiles.

As a hypercar of the future, the prestigious Italian automobile brand maximized performance derived from optimized aerodynamics. Its technology is truly remarkable as it produces nearly twice the power of a Formula 1 Racecar in a sustainable fashion with its all-electric, battery-powered engine. It boasts “extreme performance with zero emission,” which is a feat in itself. Aside from its unique DNA, it’s also been created using the finest design techniques—made up of carbon fiber, the car is 10 times stronger, yet 5 times lighter than steel—boasting a sleek and sexy exterior design that looks like a supercar but is, in fact, a hypercar of the future.

It is a historic moment for the coveted carmaker, as Pininfarina sets a new standard for electric sports cars. “We have developed a sophisticated brief to deliver a ground-breaking, all-electric hyper GT car to clients from 2020, and now we are curating the network partners to deliver this dream,” said Perschke. “The results will be electrifying for owners of the Automobili Pininfarina cars in the future! For Automobili Pininfarina, it will form the cornerstone of our ambition to become the world’s most admired luxury electric vehicle company.”
