Close Up: Chopard Classic Racing Superfast Collection
This summer Chopard deepened its ties to the world of motorsports with the announcement that it is the new sponsor of race car driver Romain Dumas.
The highly competitive Dumas has won some of the toughest endurance races around the world, including the 24 Hours of Nürburgring Endurance Race, the American Le Mans Series, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and most recently, the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
Dumas is a fitting choice for Chopard, especially its Classic Racing Superfast Collection. Inspired by high-speed race cars, this collection features design details like dials that echo the cooling fins of an engine, to numerals and hands that mimic rev counters and speedometers, and rubber straps imprinted with racing tire treads.
Haute Time recently had the chance to see the Classic Racing Superfast Collection at the Chopard boutique in New York City. Here’s an exclusive look.
