Today’s Haute Time Watch of the Day is a Baselworld 2014 debut by Girard-Perregaux, The Tri-Axial Tourbillon.

This high-precision time-piece features a high-speed tourbillon on three separate axes. Equipped with a Girard-Perregaux GPGP09300-0001 manual winding movement, with all of the hand finishings and detail, the Tri-Axial Tourbillon is a true representation of the history behind the Girard-Perregaux brand.

The 48 mm case is done in 18k rose gold features a domed sapphire lens surrounding the actual tourbillon cage, giving it enough room within the timepiece to rotate, at the 9 o’clock position on the dial. Hours and minutes are displayed using a smaller dial at the top right of the dial, and just below is the power reserve gauge. There is also a window on the side of the case, allowing for another look at the tourbillon movement.

The Tri-Axial Tourbillon will be available as part of a Limited Edition of 10 special pieces created by Girard-Perregaux.
