Haute News: Bulgari Unveils Exciting Novelties At Geneva Watch Days 2022

Geneva Watch Days have officially commenced, and Bulgari is arriving with some major news. Unveiling a new dynamic repertoire of timepieces that reflect the brand’s craftsmanship and unparalleled design perspective, Bulgari catapults its art of watchmaking into the modern era through a contrast of colors, materials, and finishes. From new sophisticated gold renditions of the Octo Finissimo collection to the exploration of black hues through new Serpenti models, here are the Bulgari novelties making their debut at this year’s Geneva Watch Days.

OCTO FINISSIMO SKELETON 8 DAYS

Setting a new gold standard, the Octo Finissimo Skeleton 8 Days is the epitome of the Octo essence. Making Octo Finissimo history, the new timepiece features a new hand-wound manufacture movement: the extra-fine caliber BVL 199 SK, which has an exceptional 8-day power reserve.

OCTO FINISSIMO CHRONOGRAPH GMT AUTOMATIC & OCTO FINISSIMO AUTOMATIC

Also adhering to the golden palette, the Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT Automatic and Octo Finissimo Automatic celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Octo collection as new additions in pristinely polished rose and yellow golds. The Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT Automatic boasts the ultra-thin 43 mm octagonal case — remaining the slimmest mechanical chronograph ever made — in satin-brushed rose gold fitted with a contrasting brown alligator strap. Inside, the chronograph and GMT functions are driven by BVL Caliber 318, an integrated automatic Manufacture movement. And the Octo Finissimo Automatic is now available in both rose gold and yellow gold (the yellow gold is specially designed for the American market with a 50-piece limited edition). Moreover, these models beat to the rhythm of the optimized self-winding Manufacture movement, BVL Caliber 138.

OCTO FINISSIMO SEJIMA EDITION

Designed in collaboration with the renowned Japanese architect Kazuyo Sejima, the Octo Finissimo Sejima Edition sports a 40 mm polished steel case with a transparent caseback that is adorned with Sejima’s signature. In addition, the dial is polished with a mirror effect with rhodium-plated hands and sapphire crystal with metalized dots, creating an elevated, sleek look.

SERPENTI SEDUTTORI TOURBILLON

A collection standout, the Serpenti Seduttori Tourbillon is the ultimate testament to the marriage of Haute Joaillerie and Haute Horlogerie through its contrasting design of diamonds and black spinels that beat to the rhythm of a dainty mechanical tourbillon movement.

Further exploring the timelessness of the color black, the new Serpenti Seduttori models — one with a rose gold bezel exceptionally set with 38 brilliant cut diamonds. Both models sport a 33 mm steel case featuring a DLC treatment with black lacquer dials complemented with the second-skin-like bracelet.

Another bold interpretation of the contrasting beauty between black and rose gold is the 35 mm Serpenti Spiga in black ceramic. The timepiece features a rose gold bezel set with 38 diamonds, a black dial with rose-goldplated hands, and the iconic double-spiral black ceramic bracelet is partially set with rose gold and 152 diamonds.

BULGARI BULGARI (BB)

The last legend completing this saga on the theme of black and known by its BB initials is the BVLGARI BVLGARI. The timepiece is launching in two versions: a 33 mm case with a quartz movement and a 41 mm case, and at the heart of the watch is the mechanical self-winding movement, BVL Caliber 191.
