Bridging Haute Watchmaking and Heritage: The Girard-Perregaux 1966 Tourbillon With Gold Bridge

Since 1791, Girard-Perregaux has been a visionary in the world of watchmaking, creating timepieces that represent the brands’ history and expertise while introducing stylish and avant-garde pieces.

One of the most recent launches from Girard-Perregaux is the 1966 Tourbillon with Gold Bridge. This stunning timepiece features a 40mm case with anti-glare sapphire crystal and screwed down closed case back. The silvered dial features an elegant sun-burst motif with four applied hour markers at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 hours on the dial along with leaf shape hands marking the hours and minutes. Let’s not forget the tourbillon cage at the 6 o’clock position, which also shows the seconds.  Also on the dial, the engraved Girard-Perregaux logo as well as a “GP” engraved on the watch crown, representing the passion that goes into each timepiece.

The 1966 Tourbillon With Gold Bridge is powered by a Girard-Perregaux 09600 self winding mechanical movement with a 48 hour power reserve. The movement is beautifully hand chamfered and polished with meticulous detail, reminiscent of the technique and craftsmanship of the Girard-Perregaux Maison’s.

The Girard-Perregaux 1966 Tourbillon With Gold Bridge is water resistant to 30m and is shown on both a brown alligator strap for the Rose Gold model and a black alligator strap for the white gold model, along with matching pin buckles.

The 1966 Tourbillon With Gold Bridge is part of an extremely limited collection offered by Girard-Perregaux. There are two variations available, one in Pink Gold, which is limited to only 25 pieces and the other is a white gold model which is limited to just 5 pieces.

Both the white gold and pink gold versions of the 1966 Tourbillon With Gold Bridge by Girard-Perregaux will retail for $154,500.00.
