All Of Hublot’s Watches And Wonders 2025 Novelties

All Of Hublot’s Watches And Wonders 2025 Novelties

By Andre Frois April 14, 2025

At Watches and Wonders 2025, Hublot’s new CEO debuted several head-turning timepieces, which showcase the manufacture’s cutting-edge materials, high complications, and fresh design codes and reiterate Hublot’s commitment to innovation.

A brand on the cusp of transformation, Hublot marked a momentous milestone at Watches and Wonders 2025, unveiling over 20 dazzling novelties to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its game-changing Big Bang collection. Following a post-Covid spending surge, LVMH Watches, like much of the industry, experienced a dip in sales in 2024. But change is in the air—Hublot has a new CEO with a proven track record of strengthening watch brands.

With Julien Tornare, the visionary behind Zenith’s Chronomaster and Defy revivals, stepping in as Hublot’s new CEO last September, and Bulgari’s Jean-Christophe Babin taking the helm of LVMH Watches, the stage is set for a metamorphosis—a new era that Tornare has coined “Hublot 4.0”. Hublot’s strongholds include North America, Latin America, and the Middle East, but I’m expecting Hublot to capture a much greater market share under Tornare.

Tornare is renowned for transforming Zenith’s Defy into one of modern luxury’s most sought-after sports watches, then moving to TAG Heuer, where he rolled out technical marvels like the Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph and Formula 1 Solargraph.

His tallest order since taking charge of Hublot: orchestrating an anniversary celebration worthy of the Big Bang’s legacy. After all, Hublot’s prestige today is inseparable from the Big Bang, a collection that has served as the brand’s audacious canvas for material innovation and avant-garde design.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without Jean-Claude Biver, the undisputed kingmaker of modern watchmaking. Taking the reins from Hublot founder Carlo Crocco in 2004, Biver unveiled the Big Bang collection in 2005, and the Big Bang Chronograph went on to win the Design Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève that same year.

So, what will Hublot 4.0 look like? Through the LVMH Watch Week novelties released earlier this year, Hublot hinted that it will emphasize its rich heritage and bold ingenuity, as exemplified by its patented sapphire and SAXEM (Sapphire Aluminum oXide and rare Earth Mineral) cases, its continued advancement of the legendary MECA-10 movement, and the Big Bang’s contributions to creative and complicated watchmaking.

And Hublot’s releases at Watches and Wonders 2025 exhibit its desire to cement a distinct and alluring identity by leveraging these innovations.

Several quintets fete the 20th anniversary of the Big Bang. The most attention-grabbing of these quintets is the one-of-a-kind Big Bang Anniversary 20th Anniversary “Materials and High Complications” set.

To commemorate this special occasion, Hublot sought to create a set of openworked timepieces that encapsulates Hublot’s horological achievements, such as the advancement of carbon fiber and ceramic cases, its minute repeaters’ crisp and clear chimes, and the manufacture’s success in realizing sapphire cases in vivid colors, which now include Water Blue.

Congratulations to the lucky owner of this unique set, which comprises a 45mm Big Bang Tourbillon Chronograph Cathedral Minute Repeater in black frosted carbon fiber, a 44mm Big Bang Tourbillon Chronograph in Water Blue Sapphire, a 44mm Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic in red ceramic, a second 44mm Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic in polished sapphire crystal, and a 43mm Big Bang Integrated Tourbillon Cathedral Minute Repeater in Blue Texalium.

These timepieces are embellished with the six H-shaped titanium screws that are synonymous with Hublot bezels, but instead of the ‘H’ logo that usually decorates Hublot crowns, their crowns bear a special “20 YEARS” emblem.

It bears repeating that achieving a new color for Hublot’s sapphire cases isn’t as simple as using a different pigment—it involves experimenting with different chemicals and techniques, until a vivid color is achieved, which does not compromise the case’s transparency, hardness and scratch resistance. Creating visual depth and dimension worthy of the Hublot name becomes even more challenging when you factor in the ‘sandwich’ construction of the Big Bang.

Celebrating Hublot’s mastery of sapphire and SAXEM, this quintet comprises five 44mm timepieces in Natural White sapphire, Water Blue sapphire, Deep Blue sapphire, Purple sapphire and Neon Yellow SAXEM, each paired with dial accents and see-through straps that perfectly match each case’s color.

What better movement to showcase in these transparent high-tech cases than the MECA-10. Inspired by Meccano construction sets, the MECA-10 was engineered based on the iconic El Primero movement that saved mechanical watchmaking in the 1960s. First released in 2016, its gears move in different directions and at various speeds—to mesmerizing effect—and its twin barrels endow it with more than 10 days of power reserve.

The creation of the new Water Blue-colored sapphire case is a central and eye-catching narrative of Hublot’s celebrations.

In fact, the acclaimed Unico movement, which is Hublot’s first in-house developed and manufactured caliber, has been specially tinted grey to accentuate the intensity of this see-through Water Blue case.

Limited to 50 examples, the Big Bang Unico Water Blue Sapphire is an architectural marvel that enthrones the Unico movement. The Unico features a column wheel chronograph that has a power reserve of 72 hours. This automatic movement has a bi-directional winding system, which is highly efficient, replenishes power reserve faster and minimizes wear and tear.

The Big Bang Unico and Big Bang One Click in Petrol Blue and Mint Green

Hublot also debuted new case colors at Watches and Wonders 2025—Petrol Blue, which evokes the mystery of ocean depths, and Mint Green, which, when held to the light, teases shades of light blue.

These colors made their debut on 42mm Bang Unico and 33mm Big Bang One Click timepieces. The One Click models feature a stainless steel bezel set with 36 diamonds.

Available for a limited period, these timepieces arrive on matching straps that can be swapped out easily using the quick strap-change system.

Five Big Bang Anniversary Limited Editions

A quintet of 43mm flyback chronographs commemorates memorable milestones in material engineering from the Big Bang’s and Big Bang Unico’s colorful history.

Hublot’s proprietary Red Magic ceramic, for example, warranted intense research and development in order to achieve a brilliant crimson hue, without compromising the homogeneity and toughness of the ceramic. Likewise, the idea of an all-black watch was shunned by a horological world that prioritizes legibility, until Hublot developed a pitch black but easily read dial.

Admire these limited-edition timepieces up close, and you’ll notice signature details like pinched lugs, riveted numerals and markers, and knurled bezels—hallmarks of the earliest Big Bang renditions.

Early Big Bang models bore carbon-fiber-like reliefs on their dials, while their rubber straps were emblazoned with treaded lozenge patterns. Vigilant connoisseurs might notice these throwback traits on these new Big Bang Anniversary Limited Editions, along with rubber-tipped rectangular pushers that were common among late 2000s Hublot watches.

Embodying Hublot’s quest to master the “Art of Fusion”, this quintet comprises: a 500-piece limited-edition model in titanium ceramic (an ultra-light alloy), a 250-piece King Gold Ceramic (a gold alloy developed for intricate finishing) model, a 100-piece Red Magic ceramic model, a 500-piece All Black model (the first time a Big Bang All Black timepiece has paired a matte and polished black ceramic case with a black carbon-pattern dial) and a 100-piece Magic Gold (the world’s first and only scratch-resistant 18k gold alloy) model.

All five watches bear the “20th Anniversary” inscription on their gold rotors and the “20 YEARS” logo on their crowns.

The Big Bang One Click Joyful in five colors

Colored straps and gemstones have been introduced to the Big Bang One Click collection for the very first time. This kaleidoscopic quintet of 33mm stainless steel timepieces is driven by the HUB1120 self-winding movement, and each color variant is accompanied by 36 precious stones in matching colors.

The red version is accompanied by red spinels, orange by orange sapphires, pink by pink sapphires, sky blue by blue topaz, and apple green by tsavorites. Sourcing precious stones that perfectly match these vibrant straps is no cakewalk, let alone cutting and polishing them to Hublot standards.

Each watch comes with an additional strap in a deeper tone, which the wearer can attach easily using its namesake ‘One-Click’ System.
