A Breakdown Of The CEO Shuffle At The LVMH Watches Division
Frédéric Arnault, the newly-appointed CEO of LVMH Watches Division, has unveiled a series of executive appointments within the division, effective September 1, 2024. These changes are part of a broader strategy to elevate and upgrade the Maisons, ensuring sustained growth and innovation for the LVMH Watches Division.
Ricardo Guadalupe has been appointed Honorary President of Hublot. Since taking the helm as CEO in 2012, Guadalupe has been instrumental in driving the brand’s exceptional growth over the past two decades. His visionary leadership and deep industry knowledge have left an indelible mark on Hublot. Arnault expressed his gratitude, stating, “Hublot is one of the few watchmaking manufacturers that emerged and achieved such success in the 21st century by breaking design codes, and communication barriers, and exploring new frontiers in watchmaking. I sincerely thank Ricardo and his teams for their fantastic work building the brand over these past 20 years. Ricardo truly embodied Hublot and its development, particularly through his product vision, deep industry knowledge, and relationships with all business and industrial partners.”
Julien Tornare, currently the CEO of TAG Heuer, will succeed Guadalupe as CEO of Hublot. Tornare’s extensive experience and proven leadership in the watchmaking industry make him a perfect fit for this role. His tenure at TAG Heuer has been marked by significant achievements, and his new position at Hublot marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for the Maison. Arnault remarked, “I am delighted about Julien’s arrival at the head of Hublot, which marks the beginning of a new chapter dedicated to the future of our Maison and the strengthening of its unique position among leading watch brands.”
Taking over as CEO of TAG Heuer is Antoine Pin, who has been serving as the General Manager of Bvlgari Horlogerie since 2019. Pin’s extensive international experience and passion for watches position him well to continue TAG Heuer’s growth and elevate its status in the market. Arnault added, “I am also delighted to welcome Antoine into our Watches Division at TAG Heuer. His extensive international experience, expertise, and well-recognized passion for watches will be major assets in continuing TAG Heuer’s growth and elevation.”
Ricardo Guadalupe’s illustrious career began as a Product Manager at Bulgari Horlogerie. He later joined Blancpain alongside Jean-Claude Biver, moving to Hublot with Biver in 2004. The launch of the Big Bang in 2005 was a pivotal moment, leading to spectacular growth for Hublot. Guadalupe joined LVMH in 2008 during the acquisition of Hublot by the Group and was appointed CEO of Hublot in 2012.
Julien Tornare brings 26 years of experience in the watchmaking industry, having held significant roles at Raymond Weil and Vacheron Constantin before becoming CEO of Zenith. His leadership and management skills will further Hublot’s success.
Antoine Pin began his career at TAG Heuer in 1994 and has held various management positions within LVMH Watches & Jewelry. His return to TAG Heuer as CEO is a significant milestone, marking a new era for the brand.
