This time, Jay-Z made headlines by sporting the newly unveiled Jacob & Co. Bugatti Tourbillon, a timepiece that seamlessly blends luxury, an engineering marvel, and automotive excellence.

As an early adopter of some of the most sought-after watches, it’s no surprise that he would be one of the first to wear the Bugatti Tourbillon, a masterpiece priced at $340,000 USD.

The Bugatti Tourbillon watch is more than just a timepiece; it’s a tribute to the Bugatti Chiron hypercar, a vehicle estimated to cost $4.1 million USD. The watch’s 52 x 44 mm case is crafted to mirror the car’s body, featuring design elements such as the front grille, side radiator inlets, and large sapphire side windows, all of which reflect the aesthetic of the Chiron. As Jacob the Jeweler himself stated, “Inside, the watch is powered by a V16 engine block automaton made from a single block of transparent sapphire, a nod to Bugatti’s groundbreaking engine architecture.”

This intricate automaton is just one of the many engineering marvels within the Bugatti Tourbillon. The timepiece also features a 30-second flying tourbillon and retrograde hours and minutes, designed to mimic the car’s RPM counter, pushing the boundaries of horology to new heights.

The watch is powered by the JCAM55 caliber, a hand-wound movement with a 48-hour power reserve and 557 components.
