Vacheron Constantin is shining a light on artists, designers and craftsmen as a founding partner of the first-ever London Craft Week. The new event, which opened its doors today, is devoted to showcasing the talented men and women behind the beautiful and intricately made things that are all around us. Vacheron Constantin has picked three “beasts” from the Aberdeen Bestiary, and recreated their likeness using Grand Feu enamel painting on a gold background. These include a marine seabird called the “Altion,” which symbolizes serenity, “Vultures,” for longevity, and a blue goat or “Caper,” representing exceptionally sound judgement.

The watch brand joins partners like the Lord Mayor of London, the Crafts Council, the Arts Council England, the Walpole and the Heritage Crafts Association in their commitment to highlighting craftsmanship in Britain and abroad. During London Craft Week, which runs from May 6 to the 10, the Vacheron Constantin boutique in London, located on 37 Old Bond Street, will be holding demonstrations by a master engraver and watchmaker, giving visitors an inside look at mechanical and artistic know-how that goes into creating the brand’s exquisite timepieces.
