A highpoint of the event was the unveiling of the Maître Cabinotier Retrograde Armillary Tourbillon. A spiritual successor of the Vacheron Constantin Reference 57260, a intricately crafted timepiece with 57 complications, this new piece was crafted by the same three master watchmakers and incorporates two of that watch’s complicated features: the armillary tourbillon and the double retrograde indication. It’s styling also allows for the wearer to view the structure of the calibre 1990 movement. the high-precision movement is housed in a 45.7 mm case in white gold.

The piece features 398 baguette diamonds and 36 yellow diamonds (totalling approximately 19.67 carats), creating a beautiful illumination of time and of the tourbillon. The Malte Tourbillon also features a mechanical hand-wound calibre, comprising 169 parts and endowed with an almost two-day power reserve. The new tonneau-shaped movement was entirely developed and crafted within the Manufacture.
