Ulysse Nardin Releases "Year of the Goat" Watch

Ulysse Nardin is celebrating the Chinese new year by releasing a watch dedicated to the eighth animal sign in the Chinese Zodiac, the goat! This watches comes 12 months after Ulysse Nardin introduced the Classico Horse, the seventh animal in the Chinese Zodiac.

The new timepiece is once again aimed at the Chinese market, although watch collectors with pet goats such as Mr. Dan Bilzerian may be keen on the piece as well. This 88 piece limited edited watch features an enamel champlevé dial with a Goat Motif. In this practice, cells are carved with a chisel directly on the watch dial and filled with enamel; the color palette is generated from different metallic oxides. The piece is then fired until the enamel melts. The result is a realistic, picturesque scene that is only made possible by the hands of masters.

A limited-edition series, the Classico Goat features the self-winding, COSC-certified UN-815 movement, visible through its sapphire crystal exhibition window located on the case back. It has a power reserve of 42 hours and is water-resistant to 50 meters.
