Throwback Thursday: Audemars Piguet Skeleton Perpetual Calendar Pocket Watch
Audemars Piguet is known for its special editions of in-house masterpieces, and we came across one recently at Shapur Jewelers in San Francisco. This skeletonized perpetual calendar pocket watch with moonphase display is part of the private collection of owner Shapur Mozaffarian.
It was made as part of a limited quantity of fewer than 50, in 18K yellow gold, valued at over $200,000. Shapur has been an Audemars Piguet dealer since the 1970s, and snapped up this piece for his collection just after it was made in the 1980s.
Will Mozaffarian sell it? Make him an offer. Shapur, 272 Post St., San Francisco, (415) 786-4406.
