Swiss Investors Group Take Over Moser Companies
The historic company Moser Schaffhausen AG has been purchased by an anonymous group of Swiss investors, in a bid to secure the independence of subsidiaries including H. Moser & Co. The watchmakers company H. Moser & Co, whose offices in Neuhausen near the Rhine Falls are pictured above, was established by Heinrich Moser in 1828 as a St. Petersburg trading company.
As a result of the purchase of this company, business operations will continue as is, with existing teams kept in place at companies including Precision Engineering AG and the aforementioned H. Moser & Co. In a press release, the board of directors said they were happy to announce that thanks to this new financial basis, the companies of the Moser Group have a promising future. Although officials declined to share names, it was divulged that Moser Schaffhausen AG’s previous majority shareholder has agreed to acquire a minority interest and will no longer play any active role within the company after the purchase.
The Moser Schaffhausen AG-owned H. Moser & Co are known worldwide for their stunning timepieces, including the classic Moser Perpetual 1 (shown below).
