Hublot Takes Over Geneva During SIHH 2015; Introduces Its First Moon Phase
Although not – officially – part of SIHH 2015, Hublot is at home in Geneva after an impressive takeover of the Grand Hotel Kempinski, an institution located at the heart of city. And if that wasn’t enough to convince us of its intention to steal the show, the Swiss brand – part of LVMH – has brought along a handful of seriously cool novelties. Besides the newly unveiled Poker and the Classic Fusion Chrono Cricket limited editions, sat three hugely significant watches for Hublot, including a ten-year anniversary Big Bang and the brand’s very first moon-phase. Here’s a look at the pieces, with hands-on reviews to follow shortly:
The Classic Fusion Aero Moon is a skeleton watch featuring contemporary architecture – what else from the master of the Art of Fusion – and a full calendar displaying the moon phases at 6 o’clock, as well as day and month indications at 12 o’clock.
Two versions are available: one in King Gold (Hublot’s famous red gold) and the other in titanium.
The Big Bang Unico “Magic Gold” is all Hublot once again. The iconic design celebrates its ten year anniversary, and Hublot has decided to combine the Big Bang with its revolutionary Magic Gold – the world’s only scratch-resistant gold.
A much younger line, the Spirit of Big Bang is just 12 months old, gets another revamp. The tonneau-shaped watch has been so hugely successful that Hublot has decided to bring it back, this time totally in black with a matte finish. Mind you, we couldn’t be happier with that decision. Just look at the new Spirit of Big Bang All Black.
