Baselworld 2015: MCT Unveils New F110 Watch
Earlier in the month, Haute Time was contacted to share the excitement of a new watch collection from Manufacture Contemporaine Du Temps (MCT watches).
The Frequential Collection, and its inaugural Piece, the F110 watch, drew a lot of praise for its ability to combine classic lines and modern mechanics. Like many of our readers, we were drawn to the cushion-shape of the watch, which holds a balance wheel at its core.
Finally, we got our hands on a F110 watch and are able to share with you some live pictures of it on the wrist. Our first impressions confirm the optimism we held for this daring concept from MCT watches.
It’s well-balanced and rests very well on the wrist at 42 x 42mm, while the various layers of titanium and shimmering Côtes de Genève motif add complexity and tradition to an otherwise futuristic dial.
The watch is powered by a new caliber, the MCT-F1.0 manual hand-winding movement developed and assembled by MCT. Beating at a frequency of 18,000 A/h (2.5 Hz), it is beautiful to look at through the shapphire caseback, and is adorned with Côtes de Genève decorations. The F110 will be released in a limited run of 99 models, priced around $ 50,000.
